Install
Install the Wordmend extension
Wordmend is available on the Chrome Web Store. It takes under a minute, and the Free plan needs no payment details.
Get started
- Add it to Chrome. Open the Chrome Web Store listing with the button above and click “Add to Chrome”.
- Pin it. Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar, then the pin next to Wordmend, so it stays one click away.
- Sign in or create your free account from the Wordmend icon.
- Turn it on where you write. On a site, click the Wordmend icon and choose “Turn on for all websites” or only that site. Chrome asks you to confirm.
- Write, then click the button that appears next to your text to rewrite, fix grammar, change the tone or translate.
Keyboard shortcut
The default shortcut is CtrlShiftY. Focus a text field and press it to open the assistant.
To change it, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts, find Wordmend, and click the pencil icon next to the shortcut. Chrome may ignore a shortcut that conflicts with another extension or with the browser.
